Meneer Papier 2

PROB DESIGN, SETDRESSING
& ASSITANT ANIMATOR
For Meneer Papier 2, I was responsible for preparing props and sets entirely out of paper, creating test animations, and ensuring the visual style remained consistent with Ketnet’s guidelines. This role strengthened my problem-solving skills in a fast paced production environment. I also ensured that everything was properly set up for the animators. One notable challenge was designing a mirror palace scene,a tricky task in a 2D paper-based world. How do you make paper look reflective? We experimented with various materials before deciding to key and animate props separately, then composite them in post. To guide this process, I created several test animations and made a step-by-step animatic for the animators and the post-production team to follow.

De stilte in het huis

STOP MOTION ANIMATION
‘De stilte in het huis’ is a Passion project. The Story in this animation is being told trough diary fragments that lead you trough two core memories from my childhood spent with my brother. The voice-over explains my experiences, while the animation leads you through the house I grew up in, yeas after the incident.

The Art of Title

GREASE PENCIL ANIMATION
The Art of Title, is a concept animation inspired by a creative exercise. I was given three prompts: sixties, whodunnit, and Mindhunter. This led me to reimagine the series Mindhunter as a 1960s-style whodunnit.

The task was to design an introduction title card for this hypothetical series. To capture the era, I drew inspiration from the op-art movement, which was prominent from 1963 to 1966. The Shepard tone—a sound known for its unsettling, infinite rise—was incorporated to heighten the eerie atmosphere of a whodunnit. Additionally, I opted for a square format to evoke the vintage feel of 1960s television screens.
